Sustainable Art Activity

My idea was to create a heart out of trash and leaves; representing how our love of nature is joined with pollution. I made my piece with twigs, leaves/flowers, bottle caps, cardboard, and leftover popcorn. Yes, I believe my piece fulfilled my idea to an extent. Well since I’m talking about nature and pollution, I wanted to choose something tangent to trash and something tied with nature. So bottlecaps/cardboard and leaves/flowers. A kiss should last till when ever both parties stop. A great meal should last till the consumer is satisfied. A work of art belongs to the artist. Hence, the artist is to determine how long a piece should last. A marriage should last till both sides agree not to be together. However, if the couple has kids, their own selfish desires must be put aside. Human life shouldn’t last forever. Life has no meaning if you are immortal. Yes, ephemeral artworks and human lives have more meaning since they’re finite. You can’t cherish them forever which brings more meaning. Once they’re gone, it’s only memory. Yes, our natural resources should be sustainable because I’d like to keep living on this planet. Yes, a person like me could make a difference in fighting climate change just by changing small things on how we live.
