My virtual Art Gallery

I chose to create a virtual gallery in a single/multiplayer game called Arma 3. This game is known to be a military simulator, however, I chose to show the “art” the game developers have created to make an amazing map for players. The virtual island I was on has 3 areas: the coast, jungle, and high mountain peaks. Each terrain had very small details not only in plants and rocks, but in noise too. If you were on the beach you would hear the calmness of the ocean shore. If you were in the jungle you would hear a plethora of birds and other animals. Lastly, on top of the mountains peaks, you would hear a calming wind flow through the valley. I feel like the art game developers attempt to make goes unrecognized often. Many people focus on the fundamental game mechanics, in which we should. However, acknowledging their art is as of same importance. If we were to remove the art many games have, they wouldn’t be the same. Art is what brings life and meaning to many things.
