Here’s the link to my vlog. https://streamable.com/ogm1ah
- My Goal in my video was to vlog something that I thought was interesting and that is relevant to this pandemic. I’ve heard/seen alot of social media posts where people are showing what their doing to stay fit at home. So… I thought I’d share mine.
- Yeah I believe I accomplished my goal for the most part. I wanted to show somethings I improvised with to substitute a lack of gym equipment.
- For next time, I’ll probably vlog somewhere with better lighting or add time lapse transitions to my videos.
- No, I dont see myself vlogging in the near future. It was a cool experience, but not my thing.
- On youtube, my favorite vlogger is David Dobrik, for gaming it’s Stimpee, and for fitness it’s Bradley Martyn and the Nelk Boys.
- Their work is generally entertaining and hilarious.
- From their work, I can take away their sense of individuality and creativity that brings life to their videos.
- Authenticity is being pure and bothered by outward influences.
- Performance is the process of carrying out or accomplishing an objective.
- I believe Authenticity and Performance can exist together. In their pure forms much good can come from it. However, outside influences such as fame and greed can ruin the duo.
- I believe each clip is authentic with respect to the setting in which its in. Same goes for performative. The pre-pandemic video is being broadcasted to thousands of people, but since the setting is a talk show youd expect more of a professional theme. On the other hand, the at home interview is a little more kicked back since its a face to face interview with its respected vibe.
